The Amazing Card

The Amazing Card is a 3D stereo viewer, in postcard format, that enables you to view photographic quality stereoscopic images.

The Amazing Card can be customised for a broad range of promotional activities including product launches, staff photos, greeting cards, event invitations, real estate sales, film and show premieres, portfolios, architectural proposals etc.

Many companies have taken the opportunity to promote their products and services using this unique 3D postcard format.

The heart of the Amazing Card is the stereo photograph. For custom work, these images can be aquired in a variety of ways:

• Stereo camera
• 2D to 3D conversion
• CAD render
• Stock 3D library

For stereo photography, we use two, interconnected Sony digital cameras, each with a 7 mega pixel resolution. This is perfect for general landscape and people shots. We can also quote on macro work if this is required.

The 2D to 3D conversion technique is of interest to those businesses wishing to use existing artwork or archival photographs. The conversion process requires artistic skills and can take up to 3 days to complete for complex source materal. The results however are outstanding. The conversion cost is usually cheaper than hiring photographers, particularly where aerial shots are involved.

Stereo output from computer aided design (CAD) and animation software is becoming increasingly popular. The Amazing Card is therefore a perfect vehichle for promoting the work of architects, industrial designers and CGI artists.

Traditionally stereo images have been printed using offset printing, resulting in poor quality viewing at magnification. In contrast, the photograph used in the Amazing Card is printed on the same equipment found at photo labs located in most suburbs. This results in exceptional quality when viewed through magnifying lens.
