Custom Graphics

So you can't think of what to give your partner, relative or friend for a gift. What about jewellery with an image of the family pet or a loved one? Imagine that on Father's Day dad receives a set of cufflinks from Pooch the dog with a note saying "Thanks for being a great dad". Of course everyone knows that Pooch is not capable of creating a set of cufflinks but remember, we're playing "let's pretend"!

By extending this idea, many unique gifts can be created. Another example could be a pendant gift to mum with an image of the newborn recently arrived into her life or two starry eyed lovers exchanging bracelets with images of themselves.

Any of our frame shapes can be used to accommodate a custom graphic. The graphic does not need to be restricted to pets or people. Symbols, landscapes, abstract art etc can be used provided that the image doesn't violate copyright laws. Images are printed on a water proof photographic film that is laser cut and then coated with a scratch resistant resin.

 




Frame Styles

For those without graphic skills:

All we need is a digital image emailed to us (sales@allegria.com.au). A standard digital image of around 900KB (640 x 480 pixels) is fine. We will scale and crop the image appropriate to the frame shape. We will fit the subject matter into the white area shown for the frame of your choice. Note that the gray bit gets cut off. We can also scan photographs if you don't have a digital camera. If we have any problems, we'll let you know and ask you for a better image. It's that simple.

For those with graphic skills:

If you want full control of where your subject is placed, you can crop your images to the pixel sizes shown. You can resize the masks and reduce their opacity (in a program such as Photoshop) to help you centre your subject matter into the white area. Then use the crop tool set to the pixel sizes indicated to crop to a rectangular or square shape. Do not remove the trim part - this part is cut off with the laser cutter. We need the full rectangular or square crop.

Materials and Packaging

Pendants

The pendant frame is made from nickel free pewter that is silver plated, oxidised, buffed and lacquered.

Brooches

Where noted, some of the pendant frames are also available as brooches i.e. imagine the pendant without the bale but with a pin and clutch on the back.

Earrings (loops)

Earring hooks are sterling silver. The frames are made from natural pewter with no plating.

Earrings (classic)

Earring hooks are sterling silver. The frames are made from pewter and plated in nickel.

Bracelets (round and diamond)

The silicone rubber bracelet has adjustable clasps that allows shortening. The bracelet frame is made from nickel free pewter that is silver plated, oxidised, buffed and lacquered.

Bracelets (rectangle and oval)

These bracelets do not have an adjustable clasp system. To permanently adjust the length, pop off one end of the silicone rubber from the frame, cut it and then pop it back on. The bracelet frame is made from nickel free pewter that is silver plated, oxidised, buffed and lacquered.

Cufflinks

Cufflinks are made from brushed stainless steel.

Necklaces

Either a 90cm stainless steel ball chain (3mm dia) or an adjustable silicone rubber round cord.
